Peter May died from a heart attack while jogging on November 27, 1999. He and his family were living in Grand Junction, Colorado. Peter was my cousin and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He had three children and a loving wife.
Peter played trombone in the band and was one of my best friends in high school. When I was in college, I went to Austin to attend the Tech/Texas football game one year and injured my wrist during a pick-up football game at the Texas practice field. That night I was in alot of pain and Peter ran several blocks down the street to buy some ice to pack on my wrist, bless him. Peter was also the 'star' of the film that Mark Dawson and I submitted to the very first UIL film contest our senior year. We got first place in state. Peter and I jogged together and had good talks in later years. I miss him greatly!
