The tragedy of losing both Rebecca and Laura Van Peldt in a train crossing accident was very hard - two sweeter (and smarter!) girls cannot be imagined. Rebecca and I went to Jean Bay's play school across the street from where Rebecca grew up.

I think of Rebecca a lot even after all these years. Her birthday (May 19th) never comes around without me thinking of her. We lived across the street of eachother and she was my best friend! Terri Holster Grassbaugh

We were all in the Girl Scouts together. I believe Rebecca continued her commitment after I quit. She was one of the nicest people I met and she and Laura Van Pelt's death was difficult for us all. I have thought often of them through the years.

Becca and Laura were like six-thirty. I had lunch with them at West Texas State (now West Texas A&M) the summer before the Lord called them home. They were sweet and special girls.

Becca was a sweet girl and a cherished member of the MHS Drum section, of which there is no higher honor. Becca, we miss you.
